Project Pegasus is an experiment. We’re 3 early-stage founders who know the inefficiencies of the “if you’re worth your salt, you’ll manage to network your way to us” attitude of VCs and angels. What if someone could do this work for you? This is an experiment by us to see if we can match great early-stage projects with our existing network of angels, and if we can make a match we’ll keep a small commission (and consider building this site into a platform). This will be forever free for founders.
Are you an angel?
We’ll intro you to startups that you might be interested in. Get in touch by sending us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org
How exactly does this work?
Re-use your YC application to apply to get introduced to serious, motivated angels. You will know within 7 days whether you’ve been accepted into the startup pool and will begin to be shown to the vetted pool of angel investors. Angels are shown anonymized versions of your application. If they’re interested in meeting you AND you opt in (we ask you), we introduce. At this point, they will have paid to be intro’d to you, so you’ll know they’re serious. It’s free for founders.
For Angel investors
Get 3 curated startup suggestions for free every Wednesday, every intro you’d like of these is $99. This way you get dealflow, but you only pay for startups you’re interested in investing in. And we’re motivated to show you a tailored selection of high-quality startups you’re likely to want to meet. It also keeps the service running.
How does the matching work
We do a blind double-opt-in process via email. Both parties have to agree that they want to meet the other party based off anonymized blurbs, history of investment and the applications.
